Make Your Milk Last Longer with Science
Ever notice milk goes bad faster than expected? Itâs often because of accidental contamination.
Every time you touch the inside of the cap, or drink from the jug, or set the lid down on a dirty surface, you introduce bacteria that speed up spoilage.
In science labs, when they study milk (yes, thatâs actually a thing) they use something called the aseptic techniqueâa fancy words for keeping things germ-free.
Basically, you just need to keep your milk cold, and donât come in contact with anything that touches the milk (I.E. the cap).
By keeping these microbes out, your milk can stay fresh 3â4 days longer and taste better.
The Secrets Of Elevator Music
Ever wonder why elevators always have the most boring music ever?
A dull lecture feels like an eternity, yet a concert seems to fly by! Thatâs your brain at work, syncing up with the rhythm of the sounds around you.

Think about the last time you were stuck in a waiting room or an elevator. What did you hear? Probably some generic, slow-tempo instrumental music.
Thatâs not by accidentâitâs by design. Businesses and elevators use slower music because studies show it makes time feel like itâs passing faster.
The opposite is true for fast-paced music, which can make time feel like itâs dragging on. Thatâs why if youâre at the gym, blasting an upbeat playlist can make an hour-long workout feel way shorter than it actually is. Use this to your advantage when performing tasks.
Text YourselfâYour Brain Will Thank You!
If youâre anything like me your brain doesnât want to work first thing in the morning.
But I have a simple solution... Text yourself!
Text yourself whatever you want to remember and donât open it until the next day.
I may be forgetful in the morning, but thereâs one thing that I NEVER forget to do, and thatâs to check my emails and text messages.
BOOM! Brain is back on track and remembering things in the AM.
How to Make It Even Better (Personal Touches)
Use Emojis & Keywords â A text saying âImportant!â might get ignored, but âMorning Goal: Call John about stocksâ grabs attention.
Schedule It! â If you donât trust yourself to resist opening it early, use your phoneâs scheduling feature (like iPhoneâs âRemind When Messagingâ or Google Messagesâ âSchedule Sendâ).
Pair It With a Routine â Set your reminder to pop up when youâre having your morning coffee or right before you check your emails.
