Morning Life Hackers!
Ready to supercharge your day? You've come to the right place! A few times a week, I’ll drop 5 quick and powerful life hacks in your inbox, simple tricks to make your day smoother, smarter, and more fun.
BUT if you’re only going to read ONE thing today make it this…

I'm 63 With $1.5M. Can I Spend $10K a Month?
You’ve saved $1.5 million. Now comes the real test.
Can it produce $10,000 a month, or will that pace drain your portfolio?
Most retirees do not get a clear answer until it is too late.
The issue is not just how much you have. It is whether your portfolio was built to pay you, not just grow.
That difference can determine whether your money lasts decades or starts breaking down early.
Sequence of returns, taxes on withdrawals, healthcare costs, and whether the 4% rule still applies all play a role.
Fiduciary advisors created a breakdown showing what drives sustainable income and why the same $1.5M can produce very different outcomes.
If you have $1M or more invested, do not guess.
131. Make Restaurant-Style Ramen
Want to make basic ramen taste like it came from a restaurant? Add about half a teaspoon of toasted sesame oil right before serving.
It gives the broth a rich, nutty aroma and adds a surprising amount of flavor with almost no effort. Start small, a little sesame oil goes a long way. For an even better bowl, add a soft-boiled egg, green onions, or chili crisp.
132. Check Your Campus Safety Report
Starting at a new college or university? Take a few minutes to look up its annual campus safety or security report.
In the U.S., colleges covered by the Clery Act publish information about reported crimes, emergency procedures, safety policies, and available security services. It’s an easy way to learn how your campus handles emergencies and what resources are available before you ever need them.
133. Make the Switch to LED Bulbs
Still have old incandescent bulbs around the house? Switching to LEDs is one of the easiest ways to cut your lighting costs. ENERGY STAR says residential LEDs use at least 75% less energy and can last up to 25 times longer than incandescent lighting.
That means lower electricity use and far fewer trips up the ladder to replace burned-out bulbs. It’s a tiny home upgrade that can keep saving you money for years.
134. Choose Bug Spray With Wildlife in Mind
Shopping for bug spray? DEET is highly effective for preventing insect bites, but it isn’t your only option.
If you’d prefer a DEET-free repellent, look for products containing ingredients such as picaridin or oil of lemon eucalyptus/PMD, depending on where you live and who will be using it. Always follow the label directions.
135. Grow Plants That Don’t Need Much Water
Want plants without constantly reaching for the watering can? Succulents and snake plants are great low-water choices because they can tolerate their soil drying out between waterings.
Pothos is also relatively forgiving, although it generally needs more water than true succulents. These hardy plants are perfect for busy people, frequent travelers, or anyone who occasionally forgets that their plants exist.
