Today’s Life Hacks
1. Straighten Up with Dead Hangs
If you spend your day hunched over a desk, here’s your fix… try dead hangs! Just hang from a pull-up bar for a few minutes total each day. It decompresses your spine, improves posture, and even makes you a bit taller (for a while). It’s basically a stretch your back will thank you for!
2. How to Greet a New Baby (or Puppy) the Right Way
When visiting a new baby, or even a new pup, always greet the older sibling or family pet first. Giving them 30 seconds of love and attention helps prevent jealousy and makes them feel just as special. A small gesture, but it keeps hearts happy all around.
3. The Grocery Store Trap
Never shop hungry! A Cornell study found hungry shoppers buy 31% more high-calorie snacks when they shop hungry. Make sure to to grab a quick bite before heading in, and you’ll save money and skip the “why did I buy six bags of chips?” moment later.
4. The Truth About Online “Sales”
That “50% off” deal might not be what it seems. Many sellers raise prices just before putting them “on sale.” Use tools like Keepa or CamelCamelCamel to check the real price history, and make sure you’re getting a real deal, not a marketing trick.
5. Why You’re Still Tired After Sleeping 8 Hours
It’s not always about how much sleep you get, it’s when you get it. Your body thrives on rhythm. Try going to bed and waking up at the same time daily, even on weekends. Once your internal clock syncs up, your energy levels will thank you.
Good News Everyone…
Good news everyone… There is now a library that doubles as a FREE grocery store!

In Baltimore, the Pratt Free Market is redefining what a library can be. Inside the Southeast Anchor Library, you’ll find a bright, welcoming free grocery store stocked with fresh produce, pantry staples, and dry goods, all donated by generous local partners.
The mission? To give everyone access to good food, no questions asked. Because everyone deserves to eat with dignity.
Each week, visitors can grab a bag of free groceries and even get help enrolling in food assistance programs, all while browsing the library for free book rentals. And once a month, the market transforms into a Pantry on the Go! event, an outdoor farmers’ market filled with free produce for anyone who stops by.
It’s more than just a grocery program, it’s a community built on kindness, care, and connection. A place where food brings people together. (read more)
