374. 8 Ways To Beat A Headache 😣

  1. Drink Water: Dehydration can often cause headaches, so drinking water helps rehydrate your body and alleviate the pain.

  2. Eat Watermelon: Watermelon is over 90% water, making it an excellent choice to boost your hydration levels quickly.

  3. Apply Ice: Place ice on your temples. The cold constricts blood vessels, reducing inflammation and numbing the area to relieve pain.

  4. Peppermint Oil: Massage it onto your temples. Peppermint oil has menthol, which can help relax muscles and ease pain when applied topically.

  5. Coffee Break: Caffeine can restrict blood vessels and improve blood flow, which can reduce headache symptoms.

  6. Eat something spicy. Spicy foods can trigger the release of endorphins, which are natural painkillers.

  7. Snack on Almonds: Almonds contain salicin, a natural pain reliever that's also found in aspirin.

  8. Ginger Tea: Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce headache symptoms and promote relaxation.

375. The Knuckle Calendar Trick

Need to remember which months have 31 days? Make a fist and use this old-school trick:

  • Start counting from the left knuckle of your fist.

  • Months landing on knuckles have 31 days.

  • Months in between knuckles have 30 days (except February, of course!).

This visual and tactile method makes it easy to quickly recall which months are longer, perfect for when you need to check dates on the fly.

376. High Altitude Teeth Troubles? 🦷

Getting sore teeth due to high altitude of the airplane? It might not actually be your teeth, as this pain is often confused with a sinus problem.

As the plane ascends, the air pressure decreases, causing the air trapped in your sinus cavities to expand.

This expansion can put pressure on the surrounding nerves, which can feel like a toothache. Here’s what You Can Do to Fix It:

  1. Take a Sinus Decongestant: Taking a sinus decongestant before your flight can help keep your sinuses clear and reduce the pressure buildup.

  2. Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water can keep your sinuses from drying out and becoming more irritated.

  3. Chew Gum: Chewing gum during takeoff and landing can help equalize the pressure in your sinuses and ears.

  4. Use a Nasal Spray: A saline nasal spray can keep your nasal passages moist and clear, reducing the chance of pressure buildup.

  5. Practice Breathing Exercises: Slow, deep breathing can help you manage discomfort and maintain a calm state.
