✍️ How To Beat Writer’s Block

Writer’s block can seem like it’s never going to go away, but the next time it happens to you, you can get rid of it by simply changing the font colour.

I know, I know it seems too simple, but by changing the font colour it tricks your brain into thinking it’s a whole new document, with a whole new subject, and therefore will require a whole new part of the brain to come up with new ideas.

If you get writer’s block when you’re typing in a word document, you can take this little trick one step further and change the font too, to give your brain that extra little jolt. Happy writing!

Standing versus sitting might seem like a small choice, but when it comes to burning calories, it can make a big difference.

Just one hour of standing can torch 100-200 calories, and if you make the switch to a standing desk at work, the benefits multiply. Not only will your posture thank you, but you could kiss goodbye to an extra 800-1600 calories per work day.

Of course, your body is constantly burning calories no matter what you do (even when you’re eating), but when it comes to standing vs sitting you can burn an additional 47 calories per hour when you choose standing.
