LIFE HACK #094

If you’re looking to get a new credit card, you need to be careful. Because debt is such a massive market these days, it brings in a a lot of shady companies to the picture.

One of the best ways you can tell these companies apart, is if the offer excludes residents of Iowa. Iowa has some of the strictest laws when it comes to interest rates and late payment penalties, thus making it harder for these companies to get the proper rights to sign up people from Iowa.

So if you see this line in an of the fine print, make sure you know that there’s a good chance it’s a shady credit card offer.

LIFE HACK #095

The next time you’re struggling with insomnia or just can’t seem to fall asleep, try throwing on a pair of amber/orange tinted sunglasses. By doing this an hour before going to sleep, you can increase the amount of melatonin in your brain, which is the hormone that regulates the sleep and wake cycle in your brain.

It’s basically like creating a fake sunset for your brain, to make it think that it’s closer to bedtime than it actually is. A lot of people use this technique to get over jet lag when they are travelling. It also works great if your sleeping patterns are just plain out of whack.

LIFE HACK #096

Your head is a surprisingly great conductor when it comes to transmitting a signal. This can be especially useful when you’re trying to find your car in a big parking lot.

All you have to do is hold the fob above your head and it will help push the signal reach further. What you’re essentially doing is turning your head into an antenna, and you’ll be able to find your car a lot quicker.
